Junior Coaching
North Elmham Tennis Club follows the LTA Youth tennis scheme: Red, Orange, Green, Yellow each with their own court size and type of ball.
Children are able to develop vital skills and techniques at an early age. These colour stages are used for competition age groups and are a guide only. If a player is developing well on a certain stage and they are not ready to move up then they can stay until there skills are at the appropriate level.

LTA Youth Red (Ages 4-7)
LTA Youth Red is for players aged 8 and under. It is played on small courts with short rackets and soft balls. It’s just like the real game and gives players opportunities to have long rallies and play different types of shots.
LTA Youth Orange (Ages 8-9)
Aimed at players aged 8 and 9 this is a great way for children to continue their progress. It is played with shorter racquets, softer balls and the courts are bigger.
LTA Youth Green (Ages 9-10)
This is played on a full size court and the balls are still a little softer than standard yellow balls.
LTA Youth Yellow/Full Ball (Ages 11-14)
This is played on the full-sized court with yellow balls and is the final stage of tennis where the players have moved through the LTA Youth tennis stages.
Development Squad (Ages 14-17)
The Club provides tatical and further technical training on Mondays for teenagers, who wish to develop their games and transition into the adult teams.
HOLIDAY CAMPS
Group (numbers permitting) and/or individual lessons are provided during the Easter and Summer school holidays.
INDIVIDUAL OR SHARED LESSONS
Jonathan Lindner, an LTA Level 3 coach, is able to conduct individual or shared lessons for your child(ren), assisting them to reach their tennis potential and develop a life-long love of the sport.
Jim Biggie, also an LTA Level 3 Accredited+ coach, is available for individual or group lessons.
